A multi-alarm fire ripped through a row of dwellings this evening displacing 15 residents on N. 17th Street in the Hill District. Firefighters responding on Box 1-2 to 17th and Park arrived with heavy fire showing from the rear of a 3 story, end of the row, dwelling rapidly spreading through the exposures. Master streams and several hand lines were needed to control the blaze.05-06-2010 - Harrisburg City - Two Alarm Dwelling

Members of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire partcipated in a 2 day Water Rescue Certification Training. This is a mandatory training for Career and Volunteer Members to partcipate in Emergency Water Rescue Calls. Congratulations to the 5 volunteer members and 2 career members that completed this training and a special thanks to the Instructors.Water Rescue Certification
